Ken Gatchell

Ken Gatchell is a highly dedicated public servant, recently retiring as the Public Works Director for the City of St. Augustine Beach after a remarkable 35-year career. He is noted by colleagues for being dependable, honest, and committed, having risen through the ranks from his start as a driver/mechanic in 1989.

Ken is a family man who enjoys fishing and spending time with his wife of 43 years, two grown children, and seven grandchildren, all of whom live in the area. He and his wife look forward to traveling the country in their new RV during his retirement.

Unique fact: Ken spent his entire 35-year career with the City of St. Augustine Beach, starting as a mechanic and retiring as the Public Works Director.
