Kim Neale is an environmental engineer and economist with 20 years of experience in conservation finance, natural capital, and environmental risk management. As the founder of Manitoulin Climate Collaborative and VP at WWF-Canada, she braids Indigenous knowledge with Western science. She earned her B. Sc in Engineering from the University of Guelph.
Of mixed settler and Anishinaabe ancestry, Kims work is deeply connected to her cultural teachings from Manitoulin Island. She champions Indigenous-led conservation, mentors youth on climate resilience and food security, and serves on the boards of Braiding Knowledges Canada and the Escarpment Biosphere Conservancy.
Unique fact: Kim co-designed the first "Two-Eyed Seeing" Natural Asset Inventory framework, blending traditional Indigenous knowledge with contemporary economic practices.
