Kimberly Cook-Nelson

Kimberly Cook-Nelson is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Entergy, responsible for power generation, delivery, and safety. A three-time graduate of the University of New Orleans, she has spent nearly three decades at Entergy, rising from a design engineer to COO, including a tenure as Chief Nuclear Officer.

Outside of work, Kimberly enjoys travel, long nature walks, and spending time with her family. She is an active alumna of her university, serves on its Foundation board, and supports community programs like "The Power to Care, " which provides emergency bill assistance to those in need.

Interesting fact: Her interest in nuclear energy began in the sixth grade when she built a model of a nuclear reactor out of refrigerator boxes for a science fair, inspired by her father.
