Robert Lance Ruckteschler is the owner of R. Lance & Sons, a towing company he grew from a small service station in the 1970s. He built it into one of Northern Californias most respected towing companies, securing contracts with AAA, California Highway Patrol, and numerous local police departments.
Outside of his business, Lance is deeply committed to his community. He was an active participant in the "Every 15 Minutes" drunk driving education program, working with local police to stage accident scenes for educational purposes. His wife, Kathy, has also been involved in the family business.
He started his now-expansive towing empire by purchasing a single tow truck for $7, 500.
