Lily Donaldson is a London-based painter and filmmaker whose artistic practice explores themes of home, heritage, and memory. A graduate of Central Saint Martins with a BA in Fine Art, she is an active member of The British Art Network and Grafters Collective.
Born in Germany to a Scottish father in the army and an English mother, her upbringing influences her work on family and legacy. When creating, she prefers listening to the same song or album on repeat. She is part of an artist collective for people from working-class backgrounds.
Her artistic work sometimes incorporates materials like boning, which is traditionally used to make corsets.
