Lindsay Gravette is a creative director and brand strategist with nearly three decades of experience shaping identities for ventures and global institutions. He co-leads the transatlantic S–E Studio and holds a BFA from Laguna College of Art and Design. Colleagues describe him as inspiring, creative, versatile, and a perfectionist.
Outside of his primary client work, Lindsay is deeply passionate about the art of form and creative inquiry. He resides in San Franciscos Dogpatch neighborhood, where he explores type design, collage art, and electroacoustic music composition. His independent studio, elbow®, serves as an evolving archive for these explorations.
He has created several of his own font families, including one with 1, 297 glyphs described as "ugly and elegant, harsh and gentle, brutal and legible. "
