Lou Waters

Lou Waters is a successful entrepreneur and inventor who has built seven companies and holds fifteen patents. A graduate of Rice University and INSEAD, he is the president of FloodBreak, a company he founded after his own home flooded, creating the category of passive automatic floodgates. People hes worked with describe him as a clear-headed and strategic adviser.

Outside of his ventures, Lou is a sixth-generation Texan with deep roots in the Hill Country, where he is a rancher. His diverse personal interests include being a musician and a pilot. He and his family, with whom he once took a nine-month trip around the world, also run New Canaan Farms, a small-batch foods business in Utopia, Texas.

Unique fact: Lou holds twelve U. S. and three international patents, primarily for his innovative floodgate designs.
