He is also the Vice Chairman of SHEIN, Co-Chairman of Brightstar Capital Partners, and Co-Chair of Harvard Business Schools AI Institute. He is a former Executive Fellow at Harvard Business School.
Outside of his extensive business ventures, Marcelo is a passionate soccer investor with ownership stakes in multiple clubs, including Club Bolívar, Girona FC, and New York City FC. He actively supports his daughters non-profit, Wonder Paws Rescue, an organization dedicated to caring for abandoned animals, reflecting a personal commitment to animal welfare.
He built his first company, Brightstar, from the back of his car into the largest Hispanic-owned business in U. S. history.
