Mark Klaassen MD FACS

He holds academic positions as a Professor of Practice at the University of Notre Dame and an Adjunct Associate Professor at Indiana University School of Medicine, where he also earned his MD.
Growing up in Colombia as the son of missionaries, he developed a passion for helping others and is fluent in Spanish. This experience fuels his ongoing humanitarian work, including leading medical missions to Guatemala to provide essential orthopedic care to underserved communities.
He was a pioneer in using a patients own platelets to accelerate healing after joint replacement surgery.
