Mickey Hepner is the Dean of the College of Business at Austin Peay State University, a role he has held since 2018. With a Ph. D. in Economics from the University of Oklahoma, his expertise is in public policy and finance. He focuses on strengthening ties with the business community and aligning programs with employer needs.
Outside of his decanal duties, Mickey is an active community leader, having participated in Leadership Middle Tennessee. He previously spent over 15 years in Oklahoma as a professor and dean at the University of Central Oklahoma, where his research often focused on public policy. His work has been published by national think tanks.
He was named the 2007 Oklahoma Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
