Milena Berry is the Co-Founder and CEO of PowerToFly, a platform accelerating economic equity by connecting underrepresented talent with inclusive companies. A former CTO at Avaaz.org, she has a deep technical background and holds a Masters from NYU where she studied robotics and social software. Originally from Bulgaria, Milena is a first-generation immigrant, a mother of four, and a vocal advocate for women in tech, LGBTQIA+ rights, and immigrant rights. She identifies as queer and is married to a transgender woman, which fuels her passion for community advocacy. She enjoys reading the works of Brené Brown and traveling with her family.
During her graduate studies at NYU, she experimented with technology by programming microchips, inventing musical instruments, and creating interactive audio/visual performances.
