Philipp Aufreiter

An electrical engineer by training, Philipp Aufreiter is the Head of Capex Projects at ArcelorMittal Texas HBI. His extensive career in the steel and iron-making sector spans nearly two decades, managing large-scale global projects and involving him in research, development, and patent applications.

Driven by curiosity and adaptability, Philipp has a clear passion for engineering. Having worked on projects worldwide, he has immersed himself in diverse cultures and values the professional and personal growth from these experiences. He finds the collaboration between different engineering disciplines to be a uniquely exciting aspect of his work.

He originally moved to Texas in 2016 for what was meant to be a short four to five-month assignment and has remained there ever since.
