Philipp Aufreiter

Philipp Aufreiter is the Head of Capex Projects at ArcelorMittal Texas HBI. An electrical engineer by training, he has nearly two decades of experience in the steel and iron-making industry, managing large-scale global projects and focusing on research and development.

Having worked on projects worldwide, Philipp has immersed himself in diverse cultures and values the personal and professional growth gained from these international experiences. He is driven by curiosity and finds excitement in the collaboration between different engineering disciplines.

He originally moved to Texas in 2016 for a short assignment intended to last only four to five months, but has remained there ever since.
