Raquel Cruz Bono is a nationally recognized healthcare leader, serving as the CEO of Medical iSight and a Senior Fellow at Johns Hopkins University APL. A board-certified trauma surgeon with a BA from The University of Texas at Austin, she previously led the Defense Health Agency and was Chief Health Officer for Viking Cruises.
Originally inspired by her father, a US Navy Captain and surgeon, she has built a distinguished career while balancing her family life. In her free time, she enjoys following her alma maters sports teams, particularly the Texas Longhorns, and expresses immense pride in her role as a mother to her two daughters.
She was the first Asian-American female and first female surgeon to be promoted to Vice Admiral (3-star) in the US Navy.
