Ricardo Ekmay is the Senior Vice President of R&D at Arbiom, where he leads the development of converting underutilized materials into sustainable protein. He holds a PhD and MS from the University of Arkansas and a BS from Cornell University, and also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Arkansas.
Originally from Los Angeles, Ricardo is proud of his Mexican and Colombian heritage and is a passionate advocate for the Hispanic-Latin community. He serves on the board of directors for ISLA NC, an organization focused on equity, and has chaired diversity committees for professional societies.
He has received numerous accolades, including the Triangle Business Journals "40 Under 40" award and recognition as a "Top 30 Rising Latino. "
