Robert Hill
Robert Hill is the Executive Chairman of SouthState Bank, having previously served as CEO since 2004. He has been instrumental in the banks significant growth, including its major merger of equals. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and the LSU Graduate School of Banking.
Outside of his executive duties, Hill is deeply committed to his community and alma mater. He serves as chairman of the board for the University of South Carolina Development Foundation and has a history of involvement with various other local business and development boards.
He has been with SouthState Bank and its predecessors since 1995, marking a nearly three-decade tenure with the institution.
