Dr. Samar Sofy leads the Sustainable Development Unit for the Fayoum governors office, bringing over 15 years of experience from roles in the UN and international NGOs. She specializes in designing gender-responsive policies and sustainable community strategies, holding a Ph. D. in Social Work.
Outside of her governmental role, she is deeply involved in academia. Samar is a published author of peer-reviewed papers and a book chapter with Springer. She also dedicates time to advancing her field by serving as a peer reviewer for the European Journal of Management Issues.
She was recently honored with an invitation to be a Distinguished Speaker at the 6th International Conference on the Future of Preventive Medicine and Public Health in Rome.
