Shaniya Vilash serves as General Counsel and Company Secretary at Daimler Truck Financial Services Australia. A graduate of Deakin University (Laws) and Monash University (Business), she was recently recognized as a finalist for Rising Star of the Year - In-House at the 2024 Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards for her work at Treasury Wine Estates.
She is deeply committed to community engagement and empowering women in the legal field. Shaniya holds multiple leadership roles within Victorian Women Lawyers, including Secretary and formerly Co-Chair of the Outreach Committee, focusing on connecting legal professionals across Victoria and promoting diversity and inclusion within the profession.
In 2023, Shaniya was also recognized as an Excellence Awardee for the Young In-House Lawyer of the Year at the Australasian Law Awards.
