Stephen Crotts is a freelance illustrator and printmaker from South Carolina, known for his award-winning work on books and album covers. A graduate of Winthrop University with a BFA in Visual Communication Design, his signature style is heavily influenced by vintage relief printmaking, often hand-carving images into blocks to create his designs.
He resides in Rock Hill, South Carolina, with his wife and two daughters. His Southern heritage and personal faith are significant influences on his creative perspective. His unique hobbies include playing the banjo, looking for snakes, and cooking in large cast iron pots.
Stephen founded the Friday Arts Project, a non-profit dedicated to fostering craft and conversation within the creative community.
