Tom is the Director of Enterprise Applications at Georgia State University, where he leads technology teams to drive student success. Educated at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and The University of Georgia, he is an award-winning innovator in higher education. Outside of his university role, Tom is a keynote speaker, musician, and author who uses his personal story of overcoming cancer to inspire others. He channels his experiences into creating original music, delivering TEDx talks, and writing, aiming to help people move from surviving to thriving. He is also a marathon and ultramarathon runner.
After being diagnosed with cancer at age thirty, he wrote a full-length musical and a book about the experience.
