Tomomi Aida

Tomomi Aida is the Director of Platform Technology at Emugen Therapeutics, a gene therapy startup. A neuroscientist with a Ph. D. from Tokyo Medical and Dental University, she is an expert in genome editing and has research affiliations with both MIT and the Broad Institute.

She is actively involved in fostering the US-Japan scientific community relationship. She co-organizes events for the MIT-Japan network in Boston and speaks at events connecting the Boston biotech ecosystem with professionals in Japan, bridging the two communities.

Uniquely, she holds a director-level position at a US startup while simultaneously serving as an associate professor at a Japanese university.
