William Cunningham is a long-tenured director at Entergy, currently leading the Power Through initiative to enhance customer resiliency with grid-connected backup generation. His extensive career spans numerous director-level roles in finance, resource planning, regulatory strategy, and customer service. He is a registered professional engineer with multiple degrees, including an MBA and a Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech.
Outside of his professional life, William is an outdoors enthusiast who enjoys hiking, hunting, and fishing in his home state of Arkansas. He values spending time with his family and finds that being in nature helps him mentally reset. He is also a supporter of the nonprofit City Year, which addresses educational inequity.
Inspired by his electrician father, he began his career at Entergy as a 21-year-old intern and has remained with the company for over two decades.
