Yazmin Lizeth R. is the Assistant Director of Recruitment at Arizona State Universitys Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, where she develops and executes recruitment strategies for undergraduate and masters programs. A first-generation college graduate with a masters degree in School Counseling, she is dedicated to helping students achieve their potential through higher education.
Driven by her own experience, she is passionate about supporting and engaging students, families, and communities, particularly those from similar backgrounds. She was previously part of the Obama Foundations inaugural Community Leadership Corps and served as a panelist at their 2018 summit. Her early memories include watching Noticiero Univision with her grandparents.
In 2024, Yazmin was named ASUs Student Employee Supervisor of the Year, selected from over 90 nominations for her exceptional leadership.
