Yuri Malina is a scientist and entrepreneur, currently pursuing a PhD in Molecular & Cell Biology at UC Berkeley where he studies gene regulation. Previously, he co-founded SwipeSense, a venture-backed health-tech startup acquired by SC Johnson, and Design for America, a non-profit. He earned his B. A. from Northwestern Universitys Integrated Science Program.
Originally from France, Yuri has a passion for applying design and science to solve major societal challenges. He co-authored a review of the book "THE NEXUS, " which explores the convergence of art, technology, and science, reflecting a deep interest in interdisciplinary thinking. In 2015, he was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 list for social entrepreneurship.
