Alan Kennedy

Alan Kennedy serves as the Head of Engineering for Scotland at SPL Powerlines, where he leads significant railway electrification projects. A graduate of Glasgow Caledonian University, he is deeply involved in delivering Scotlands rolling electrification programme, emphasizing efficient and successful project execution.

Alan is passionate about community outreach and inspiring future generations. He enjoys visiting local schools to educate students, including his own son, about the diverse career paths available within the railway industry, aiming to increase awareness and interest in the field.

He is a firm believer that rolling programmes are the most effective strategy for railway electrification.
