Alan Ransil is the CEO and Co-Founder of Devonian Systems, focusing on carbon removal and building web3 tooling. An alumnus of Stanford and MIT (PhD), he previously founded and led the Filecoin Green initiative at Protocol Labs, aiming to decarbonize blockchain technologies and enable verifiable environmental claims.
Outside of his direct professional roles, Alan is deeply interested in innovative economic theories for climate mitigation and draws inspiration from pioneering inventors. He actively follows and promotes literature and discussions around climate entrepreneurship, seeing it as a critical area for global progress.
He is an advisor to the Global Carbon Reward project, which is developing a new monetary policy to directly finance and reward climate change mitigation.
