Albert Derocher is the CEO of NewNation Developments with over 36 years of experience dedicated to advancing Indigenous economic growth. A graduate of Palliser Campus in Business Administration, he specializes in forging partnerships between First Nations, government, and industry, and previously managed the corporate arm of the Flying Dust First Nation.
Outside of his professional life, Alberts proudest accomplishment is his family. He has raised a large blended family of ten children and is a grandfather to fifteen grandchildren. He is deeply connected to his home community, the Flying Dust First Nation, where he was born and raised and has worked for most of his career.
In 2022, he was nationally recognized as the Economic Developer of the Year by Cando (Council for the Advancement of Native Development Officers).
