Alissa Maxwell Weiss is the third-generation President of Hub Foundation Co. , Inc. , a family business started by her grandfather. She earned a BA in Geology from Hamilton College and began her career working hands-on as a pile driver. She now oversees all of the companys complex foundation projects throughout the Northeast.
Before rejoining her familys company full-time, Alissa worked as a marine science technician in Antarctica, an experience she describes as "awe-inspiring. " She is an active member of several industry organizations, including The Moles and the Deep Foundations Institute (DFI), and volunteers in her local community, helping construct handicapped-accessible infrastructure.
She is the first female president in her companys history and previously worked as a Sandhog in the Tunnel Workers Union.
