Annalisa Bloodworth is the President and CEO of Oglethorpe Power, the largest power supply cooperative in the U. S. With nearly two decades in the energy industry and a JD from Emory University, she was instrumental in bringing the first new nuclear units online in the U. S. in thirty years through the Vogtle project.
She is a dual Italian citizen who loves to travel, and she makes it a point to never visit the same country twice, with the exception of Italy. Annalisa also enjoys hiking Georgias great waterways. In her past, she was a rodeo trick rider who could ride while standing on the backs of two horses.
Interestingly, she was rejected by Harvard at age 17 but had the opportunity to engage with the university 30 years later.
