Art is the Director of Hematologic Malignancy Target Discovery at AstraZeneca, where he is building a new discovery group from scratch. An immunologist by training with a PhD from Johns Hopkins, he previously spent over 20 years at the National Cancer Institute researching the basic wiring of B cell lymphoma.
Outside of the lab, Art is a committed mentor to young scientists, inspired by his own high school teachers. He grew up in rural Pennsylvania and now enjoys fishing, biking, and snow sports with his wife and two sons.
He has co-authored over 60 research papers, with his work being cited more than 17, 000 times.
