Aziz AlKhafaji is the Director of Molecular R&D and Leader of the Methods Development Lab within the Genomics Platform at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. His work focuses on developing novel genomic technologies, particularly in single-cell and spatial sequencing. He earned his PhD from The University of Texas at Austin.
Outside of his direct research, Aziz appears to value scientific communication and collaboration, having recently traveled to Australia to share his labs latest work with international consortiums. He is actively involved in building his interdisciplinary team through recruitment.
He recently led a comprehensive study evaluating and optimizing single-cell RNA isoform sequencing across multiple platforms.
