An experienced DEIA strategist and historian with over two decades in education, Candace Pryor Brown is the Assistant Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Community at Gill St. Bernard’s School. She focuses on developing inclusive curricula and leading community-wide diversity programs. She earned her M. A. from Drew University and is completing her Ph. D.
Candace is passionate about history, social justice, and community service. She actively engages with museums and historical narratives, such as the Scottsboro Boys case, and dedicates time to supporting at-risk youth. She also explores topics like creative thinking and fearless collaboration through executive forums to enhance her professional practice.
She was honored as a 2016 American Geographical Society Geography Teacher Fellow.
