Dr. Carsten Bornhövd is the Head of Technology Scouting for Bio and Bioinformatics at WACKER Chemie AG. With a Ph. D. from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, he specializes in identifying external innovations in biotechnology and sustainable food tech, such as cultivated meat, to drive corporate development and contribute to a more sustainable future.
He is a co-recipient of the Alexander Wacker Innovation Award for his foundational research on a system for the cost-effective production of pharmaceutical proteins.
