Charlie Lacey is the Priest in Charge at St. Andrews Anglican Church in Springfield, a role he has held since 2016. Recruited from the Diocese of London, he focuses on leading a vibrant, mission-focused church for a young and culturally diverse community. He previously studied at St Mellitus College.
He is a married father of two. A former Royal Marine who served for seven years, including tours in Afghanistan and Iraq, his past experiences give him a unique perspective in his ministry. He previously served as a chaplain with local police teams, connecting with young offenders.
Unique fact: Before being ordained, Charlie was a Royal Marine whose self-described "colourful past" included time in a military prison before a life-changing experience.
