Professor Charlotte Clarke is the College Dean International and Professor of Health in Social Science at The University of Edinburgh. A qualified nurse with a PhD from Northumbria University, her distinguished career is dedicated to dementia care, gerontological nursing, and improving the quality of life for older people.
Passionate about amplifying marginalized voices, she champions creative methods for communicating complex health issues. Charlotte explores using storytelling, theatre, and film to share patient experiences, ensuring the perspectives of people living with dementia are heard and respected in policy and practice.
She received first prize in the British Medical Associations Medical Book Awards for her co-edited book on risk management for living well with dementia.
