Chris Garland

Chris Garland is the National Program Director for True Lacrosse, leveraging over 20 years of experience in player development and coaching. A graduate of Hampden-Sydney College, he previously served as a history teacher and celebrated head lacrosse coach at several institutions, including Detroit Country Day School, leading them to a state title.

His career is defined by a deep commitment to mentoring young men, viewing lacrosse as a vehicle for character development and creating opportunities. He emphasizes a philosophy that college is a "match to be made, not a prize to be won, " focusing on finding the right fit for his student-athletes.

Garland didnt start playing lacrosse until he was 15, an experience that fuels his passion for introducing the sport to new players.
