Dalton Scharmer is a Civil and Structural Project Engineer at Sappis Cloquet Mill, where he supports maintenance and capital project planning. A graduate of the University of Minnesota Duluth with a Masters in Civil Engineering, he recently achieved a major career milestone by passing his structural PE exam in late 2025.
Originally from a small hobby farm, Dalton enjoys staying active outdoors, reading books, and volunteering within his community. He is highly involved in the local engineering scene, serving as the Younger Member Chair for the Duluth Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
He has a specialized academic focus in precast and post-tension segmental bridge structures.
