Dave Heppner

As Chief Strategy Officer at Marathon Petroleum, Dave Heppner leads corporate strategy and business development. A company veteran of over 30 years, he began his career as a design engineer after earning his Electrical Engineering degree from Ohio Northern University, advancing through numerous operational and commercial leadership roles.

Deeply committed to his community, Dave has held leadership positions with Habitat for Humanity, the United Way, and the Boy Scouts of America. His service also extends to supporting childrens hospitals, and he actively gives back to his alma mater by serving on its Board of Trustees.

In 2024, he received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Ohio Northern Universitys College of Engineering for his professional success.
