David Murdoch MBE

David Murdoch is the Executive Director of High Performance at Curling Canada, leveraging his extensive experience as a two-time world champion and Olympic silver-medallist. Previously, as the Olympic Head Coach for British Curling, he guided teams to gold and silver medals at the 2022 Beijing Olympics and was instrumental in developing the National Curling Academy.

Originally from Lockerbie, Scotland, David comes from a family deeply rooted in curling. He relocated to Canada with his Canadian wife and their three children. He has a history of media appearances, including commentary and studio analysis for Eurosport and Channel 4, and has participated in shows like Sport Relief.

Interesting fact: One of his crucial shots during the 2014 Sochi Olympics was dubbed the "shot of the century" by the national press.
