David Wallechinsky is the CEO and editor-in-chief of AllGov. com, a website dedicated to providing news about U. S. government agencies. He is also a world-renowned Olympic historian and best-selling author, most notably of "The Complete Book of the Olympics, " which is considered the standard reference work on the subject.
Son of the famous novelist Irving Wallace, David developed a passion for unearthing and sharing lesser-known histories. He co-founded the International Society of Olympic Historians and has served as its president. His work focuses on telling the human stories behind major events, moving beyond simple statistics and dates.
He changed his last name from Wallace back to his familys original name, Wallechinsky, after a customs officers remark in Britain.
