A recent recipient of the Michelle Pockey Leadership Award, she is completing an Executive MBA at Simon Fraser University to further her work in empowering Indigenous nations.
Of Gitxsan heritage from the Gitanmaax community, Frankie is a single mother and a self-described "Young Matriarch in Training. " She is passionate about mentoring young leaders and bridging the gap between Indigenous peoples and the rest of the world, guided by her cultural obligations and hereditary chiefs.
She is the first generation in her family not to attend a Residential School, as the daughter of survivors.
