Gareth Griffith-Swain is an entrepreneur who turned a lockdown hobby of growing mushrooms in his bedroom into a thriving business, Fungi Foods. Leveraging a prior background in supply chain roles at Nandos, he now operates from his familys farm in North Wales, recently winning a national supply contract with Aldi.

Originally from England, Gareth spent summers at his familys sheep farm in North Wales and has now returned to his roots, even learning Welsh. His earlier career included time as a trail builder in British Columbia, reflecting a long-standing passion for the outdoors that aligns with his current venture in the Welsh mountains.

After winning Channel 4s "Aldis Next Big Thing, " his Lions Mane mushrooms are now stocked in over 1, 000 Aldi stores nationwide.
