Outside of his corporate roles, George is deeply committed to his alma mater, Virginia Tech. Together with his wife, Hoda, he is a dedicated supporter of the university, having served on the Pamplin College of Business Advisory Council and the Virginia Tech Foundation board, showing a strong belief in higher education.
In 2010, Virginia Tech recognized his significant professional success and contributions by presenting him with its Distinguished Alumnus Award.
