Hojjat is the Sr. Director and Global Head of Translational Quantitative Pharmacology at EMD Serono, with a Ph. D. from Johns Hopkins. He is an expert in applying mechanistic systems pharmacology and mathematical modeling to accelerate drug development, from early discovery to late-stage trials, with experience at Moderna and CytomX.
He is passionate about the history and contributions of pioneering scientists, such as Dr. Steven Rosenberg, the father of immuno-oncology. He is also a vocal advocate for women in science and mathematics, highlighting their revolutionary and often overlooked achievements. His interests include the US Army and Navy.
He hopes that Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) will one day become a required part of all regulatory submissions.
