Idris Abdul-Zahir is a Deputy CIO for the City of Philadelphia, leading business solution strategy, process innovation, and data governance. With over a decade of experience in public sector technology, he oversees enterprise IT operations and focuses on equitable digital transformation. He studied Business Management at Drexel University and MIS at Temple University.
Outside of his tech career, he is a dedicated civic innovator and spiritual leader, serving as the Resident Imam for a large Muslim congregation. He was appointed to the Governor’s Advisory Commission on African American Affairs and Philadelphias inaugural Commission on Muslim Engagement, working to shape inclusive policy and foster community dialogue.
