Outside of his finance career, James has a significant background in public service, having worked for the Town of East Hampton as an Ocean Lifeguard, rising to the rank of Lieutenant. During his time at Binghamton University, he was a member of the Chi Phi fraternity.
Unique fact: He was a Lieutenant in charge of supervising ocean and bay beaches in Amagansett and Montauk.
