James Higa is the Founder and Managing Partner of Offline Ventures and a veteran of Silicon Valley. He previously spent over two decades at Apple, where he was a member of the original Macintosh team and reported directly to Steve Jobs. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University.
Outside of venture capital, James is the Executive Director of the Philanthropic Ventures Foundation and serves on the Board of Directors for the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee. He has deep connections to Japan and Okinawa, where he grew up, and has participated in on-the-ground disaster relief efforts.
He was instrumental in negotiating with record labels for the launch of iTunes, a move that forever changed the music industry.
