Jason Pate is the Head of Finance, Business, and Corporate Development at Plaid, where he leads strategy, partnerships, investments, and acquisitions. His leadership has been central to Plaids expansion into new products and markets, including leading the acquisition of Quovo. He holds degrees in Public Policy and Economics from Duke University.
Jason co-founded Tava, a fast-casual Indian restaurant, after a chance encounter with a former classmate on a plane led them to leave their finance jobs. He is an active investor and advisor, and previously served as a Director of the Coca-Cola Foundation. He was also a member of The Pitchforks a cappella group at Duke.
He once quit a high-paying Wall Street job after deciding he wanted to contribute to the community in a more meaningful way, leading to his entrepreneurial venture.
