Jill Cooper is the Executive Director of the Bridgewater and Area Chamber of Commerce, bringing extensive experience as an entrepreneur and artist. A Dalhousie University architecture graduate, she previously had a 15-year career as an award-winning television set designer in Toronto for networks like CTV and TSN before co-owning an art gallery in Chicago.
As a professional artist, Jill focuses on oil paintings of women and waves, inspired by growing up in a coastal village. Her work explores themes of freedom, strength, and joy. She is a champion for women in art and business, often displaying her work at shows along Nova Scotias South Shore.
She transitioned from designing television sets for major Canadian networks to becoming a full-time artist and community business leader in Nova Scotia.
