John Cotterill

John Cotterill is the Engineering Director at VMC Cashless Payment Systems, recently appointed to the Board of Directors. With over two decades at the company, he has been pivotal in advancing its software from simple PC-based systems to modern cloud architectures. He holds a business diploma from the University of Birmingham and a BA from Durham University.

Outside of work, John is a part-time professional musician and a father of three. He leads an active life with interests in amateur cricket, cycling, and table tennis. His musical pursuits are a significant part of his life, complementing his technical career.

He successfully combines a long-term, strategic career in software engineering with the creative discipline of being a professional musician.
