John Hill

John Hill is the Vice President of Strategic Sourcing at Valero, with a career spanning from an operator and technician to refinery General Manager. His career began after an electronics apprenticeship at Solano Community College and eight years with the Department of Defense at the Mare Island Naval Shipyard.

He is actively involved in his community, serving on the Board of Directors for Roy Maas Youth Alternatives (RMYA). Previously, he volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, local food banks, and the United Way. John and his wife, Nancy, currently reside in the San Antonio, Texas area.

Unique fact: Early in his career, John was a member of his refinerys fire brigade and was also a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
